Zonyl Fluorosurfactants

Zonyl fluorosurfactants are surface-active, highly stable wetting agents formulated as liquids and applied in very low concentrations (50-100 ppm or 0.005-0.1%). These low surface tension fluorosurfactants are used in wetting, foaming, emulsifying, dispersing and detergency applications. Available as liquids, pastes, flakes, powders or as combinations of both liquids and solids, these surfactants are supplied as 100% active ingredient products. They find use where the surface-active properties are needed but where water must be avoided.

Fluorosurfactants are necessary for wetting such low-energy surfaces as fluorocarbons and silicones. They bond to metals to produce a high degree of water and solvent repellency. These products find uses under conditions where hydrocarbon surfactants would decompose, such as in the presence of strong oxidizing agents, acids, or concentrated alkalies.
