WINDOWS(tm) based U.S. TSCA INVENTORY With Newly Updated Database Files

Softrak Systems Enc. is introducing TSCA TRACKER(tm) for Windows, an electronic database version of the U. S. TSCA Inventory that installs entirely on the users hard drive. The combination of the DBF file format and a user-friendly Windows(tm) search engine provides the power and flexibility for fast and accurate searches. Updated twice per year with data from the government, TSCA TRACKER is never more than about 6 months old.

TSCA Tracker is particularly useful for finding a compound when the CAS Number and specific chemical nomenclature are not known. The user can enter up to four word fragments such as "meth", "chloro", "ferric," etc. and the search program will create a pick list of chemical names that have all of those fragments (strings) in common. This pick list is in a Windows listbox where the full data screen for each is available at the click of the mouse.

In addition to the string searches, the Inventory can be searched by CAS Number, Name, Molecular Formula, and by Former CAS Number. TSCA TRACKER data fields include CAS Number, Former CAS Numbers, Inventory Name, Other Submitted Names, Molecular Formula, UVCB Status, and Inventory Flags.

The TSCA TRACKER database program costs $189.00 and includes the current data files. Data updates are available at approximately six month intervals to registered users for $99.00 each. The program runs on Windows 3.1 or higher (including Windows 95) and needs about 35 megabytes of space on the hard drive for the data files.
