All threaded components are electro-galvanised and yellow passivated, while the bodywork of the unit is blast-cleaned, using a sodium-bicarbonate base blasting medium, followed by a primer with a dry film thickness (DFT) of 55 to 65 microns.

The second and final coat is a PSX Siloxane coating which embodies the properties of both a high performance epoxy and polyurethane in one. It is considered to be the ideal surface protection system for coastal and offshore environments.
