Valve Position Indicator

The Series VIP Valve Position Indicator is composed of the sensor, Model VIP 11, and the target, Model VIP 02, which combine and mount directly to Namur standard actuators and can be adapted to others. The target mounts on top of (and surrounds) the actuator's stem. The indicator is configured to accept a 4-pin, quick-disconnect cable.

As the actuator stem rotates, so does the target. The sensor component, containing two inductive proximity sensors, detects, then signals, the movement of metal strips on the target. Two built-in yellow LEDs provide local indication. A bright green LED indicates power is "on".

The CE-approved indicator, environmentally protected to IP67, has solid state components that are fully embedded in an epoxy resin to prevent condensation build-up and protect against vibration and shock. The sensors have short-circuit, overload and reverse polarity protection. The unit's rugged PBT housing ensures excellent corrosion resistance and moisture protection.
