The ULTRX Rupture Disc, manufactured by Continental Disc Corporation, provides the ultimate in protection and performance for systems operating at up to 90% of their safety capacity.

Continental's ULTRX Rupture Disc is a non-reclosing, instantaneous overpressure protection device that can be used in practically any pressurized equipment, vessel or system application as a primary and/or secondary pressure relief device, and is ideally suited for installation below a safety relief valve.

Manufactured using a patented "precision controlled indentation" process, the ULTRX Rupture Disc can be installed in various applications to provide high performance protection and, when used to isolate safety relief valves, an effective means to control fugitive emissions. The ULTRX Rupture Disc design is the industry's only rupture disc that is specifically designed for SRV isolation. Additional applications include installation in transfer piping, chemical reactors, heat exchangers and numerous others.

The ULTRX Rupture Disc features solid metal, scored, reverse acting construction which is capable of operating at pressures of up to 90% of the rupture disc's burst pressure. The ULTRX Rupture Disc performs in gaseous or 100% fully liquid systems, including systems which may have an extremely low rate of pressure rise or an exceptionally small volume. Its durable design withstands a full vacuum condition without the need for an additional vacuum support component.

Continental's ULTRX Rupture Disc now carries the ASME "UD" Code Symbol Stamp, signifying that the rupture disc has a certified flow resistance value. C.D.C. has been accredited and is authorized by the ASME Code to utilize the UD Code Symbol Stamp for product built in accordance with the requirements of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section VIII, Division 1.
