The company, a global leader of strand pelletizing systems, offers a new type of tungsten carbide rotor for their pelletizing systems. The rotor, which has been included into the product range as the TC 02F and has an ingenious fixing system using special security bolts, has been designed mainly for systems which pelletize plastics with very high loadings of glass fibers. A service life of between a few hundred to more than one thousand operating hours is guaranteed without noticeable wear of the cutting tools.

In addition to better safety, a longer service life and more regrinding cycles, the TC rotor features:

  • Blades that are positively engaged by expansion bolts, which means they cannot move out of position. This guarantees a high degree of safety with regard by other components of the pelletizing system.
  • The body of the rotor is made of either stainless steel (with increased protection against corrosion) or of nitride steel with high abrasive resistance.
  • The rotor body is not subjected to thermal stress during production since no brazing takes place.
  • As the clamping are not exposed to premature wear or damage due to the abrasive influence of he pellets. Hence the bolts can be released easily if the system needs to be disassembled.
  • Any number of blades (up to a maximum of 30) can be fitted to suit individual requirements.
  • An increased thickness of the blades (4 mm) makes a greater number of resharpening possible.
  • This concept can also be applied to all commonly available sizes and makes of rotors to suit customer requirements.
