TSC-1 is designed to solubilize tank bottoms and/or break-up oil-water emulsions in crude oil storage tanks.
TSC-1 is designed to solubilize tank bottoms and/or break-up oil-water emulsions in crude oil storage tanks. Tanks can be treated without taking them out of service, 0.0048 gallons of TSC-1 per gallon of tank bottom is added to the tank.. Tanks need to have a minimum of 12 inches of water and an amount of crude oil equal to the amount of the bottoms for treatment. TSC-1 and Nutrient/water are pumped into the water interface and then rolled for 24 hours. Tanks are then allowed to settle and can be rolled once a week or as needed. For emulsions we recommend 10 gallons of TSC-1 per 500-barrel tank. This percentage of TSC-1 can be changed depending on tank size.
