TriZone Water Treatment System

United States Filter Corporation has designed a drinking water treatment that incorporates the Microfloc Trident technology and ozone treatment to provide an alternative to chlorine use. The result is the Microfloc TriZone treatment system. Encouraged by the Disinfection and Disinfection By-Product rule, ozone treatment is proving to be one of the best alternatives to chlorine use.
Microfloc TriZone controls taste, odor, and color and oxidized compounds without the risk of trihalomenthane formation. The Microfloc TriZone's footprint is up to 60% smaller than conventional plants. All process functions are controlled from one central PLC control system, eliminating the need for additional, more costly controls.
At the core of the Microfloc TriZone system is the Microfloc Trident system whose design is expanded to include an ozone generator. The system easily handles turbidity and color spikes in the plant's absorption clarifier and filter sections thus improving overall efficiency. Microfloc TriZone provides single-source responsibility that meets strict water quality standards.
Water is dosed with up to three mg/l of ozone for maximum pre-oxidization within the process' 30 second contact time. The Microfloc TriZone system reduces chlorine usage for post filtration purposes and may improve coagulation.
