Touchgene Gradient Thermal Cycler

The Techne Touchgene Gradient is a gradient thermal cycler which enables optimisation of experiments at the "touch of a screen".

The linear gradient cycler has a range of 30°C and protocols can be optimised in a single experiment. The Touchgene Gradient incorporates a large, 115 x 90mm, touch-sensitive screen that provides a unique user-friendly programming interface.

The ‘real-time' graphical display shows the sample temperature profile while the program is running, including the upper and lower limits of the gradient. This pictorial, real-time representation means instant visualisation of your experiment's status.

Other benefits of the Touchgene Gradient are:

• SmartMedia memory cards which provide an alternative to internal memory storage of your programs, offering security and flexibility.
  
• The gradient calculator function displays the temperature of each column of tubes. This ensures replication of the experimental conditions.
  
• Each block consists of 8 peltier units, controlled by 4 independent temperature thermistors (control sensors) distributed evenly across the block. This ensures that the Touchgene Gradient exhibits accurate controlled linear gradient.
  
• A maximum heating rate of 3°C/sec and block uniformity of <±0.4°C. With or without a gradient.

The user-friendly interchangeable block system allows blocks to be interchanged in a matter of seconds without the need of any tools (40 x 0.5ml 96 x 0.2 ml, 384 well, Insitu Block).

Other specifications include: PC control and networking, decremental/incremental time and temperature, and defined pressure programmable heated lid.
