The Fitzpatrick Company, Quadro Engineering and Microfluidics are combining the strength of three leading process equipment brands at ACHEMA 2012 (June 18 - 22) in FRANKFURT, Germany in Hall 5.0, Stand Nos. C8, C12 and D7, respectively. They will be exhibiting cutting-edge process equipment and global support service solutions for solid, semi-solid and liquid processing.

For your dry granulation needs, the Fitzpatrick Company will be exhibiting the Contained Chilsonator System (CCS). The CCS1025 is designed to contain all product in the processing and receiving sections of the machine. It offers minimal product exposure to the operator and environment, prevents product contamination, allows very low product loss, is easy to assemble, and has Wash-In-Place (W.I.P.) options and automated controls. The CCS220 is ideal for R&D, pilot plants and small production. It offers GMP and process flexibility, a wide range of capacities from 50g - 20kg/h, and scales up to larger roll compactors.

The Fitzpatrick Company will also be showcasing its latest Comminutor – the B Series FitzMill (VFS-F8B). The B Series FitzMill offers a mono-block chamber that is permanently attached to the mill base for processing of pharmaceutical products requiring a sanitary design. It can be configured with the FitzMill Product Containment System (PCS) and operated with nitrogen inerting capability. Feed system options include gravity feed or metered feed, utilizing either rotary valve or feed hopper with feed screw.

Also featured will be Fuji Paudal’s MultiGranulator MG-55. The MG-55 is designed to evaluate three different types of low pressure extrusion techniques - dome, radial and axial. It is easy to assemble, can utilize batches as low as 200 grams, and can extrude granules from 0.5mm - 8.0mm in diameter.

Fuji Paudal’s Marumerizer QJ-230T is designed to convert moist cylindrical extruded granules into smooth, uniform spheres in a variety of applications. This bench-top device provides easy evaluation of spheronization on extruded products. It also enables analysis of batch sizes smaller than one litre, and can generate product for a full-scale production system.
