The Process & Building Solutions division of Intergraph Corporation (Huntsville, AL) and Technip (Paris, France) have signed a Global Strategic Supplier Agreement. Under terms of the three-year agreement, Intergraph Process & Building Solutions will supply integrated life cycle engineering software to Technip and its global affiliates throughout Europe, the Americas, Africa and Asia. Technip engineers will use the software to support the global engineering, design, construction and start up of process and power plants, with emphasis on a variety of petroleum and petrochemical projects.

The Technip Global Strategic Supplier Agreement covers the Intergraph Plant Design System (PDS), the SmartPlant family and related software. For more than 20 years, engineers worldwide have used Intergraph PDS for 2-D and 3-D design, construction, operation and maintenance of process and power plants. Additional software covered by the agreement includes Intools for instrumentation life cycle engineering.

Maurice Tayeh, chief information officer, Technip, said, "Technip views Intergraph as a key strategic technology partner whose tools will enable integration with complementary software vendors. The global agreement with Intergraph reinforces Technip's technology portfolio with a full range of proven engineering software tools and worldwide support."

Gerhard Sallinger, vice president, Intergraph Process & Building Solutions, Europe and Africa Regional Business Unit, Frankfurt, Germany, said, "Technip and its affiliates have been among the leading European users of Intergraph software and services for nearly 10 years. The Global Strategic Supplier Agreement builds on Technip's considerable expertise in executing complex projects using Intergraph solutions and will help the group as it enlarges markets and clients worldwide."
