Soliphant II solids level switch
Endress+Hauser Introduces New Technology For Solids Level Measurement
January 24, 2001, Greenwood, IN – Level measurement via the traditional solids switch advances to new levels of performance and versatility with the Soliphant II from Endress+Hauser.
The Soliphant II is a family of "vibrating tine" detection switches for fine-grained solids and powders. Available in nine different configurations, the Soliphant II line includes compact designs as well as tube extended and extended cable versions.
Each version of Soliphant carries three levels of FM certification – General Purpose, Division II Dust, and Division I. Additionally, each design is available in Intrinsically Safe (IS) versions.
Soliphant II can be used wherever powders and fine-grained solids need to be detected. In the food and farming industries Soliphant II can be used to measure milk powder, grain, cocoa, sugar, flour and animal food. In mining applications the Soliphant II is effective in monitoring gravel, sand, coal, iron ore, and cement. Chemical applications that are well suited for the Soliphant II include salt granules, washing powder, raw products, and extruded plastic granules (pellets).
