Slovnaft To Improve Operational Efficiency And Business Results Using Honeywell's Profitsuite
Slovnaft will implement Advanced Process Control and Optimization
Applications on its Ethylene Cracker to Control Severity and Maximize Furnace Rates
Phoenix - Honeywell announced that Slovnaft, a division of MOL, one of eastern Europe's leading chemical producers, will utilize Honeywell's ProfitSuite to increase business results at its ethylene complex near Bratislava. Under terms of the agreement, Honeywell will implement Profit Controller and Profit Optimizer on the hot and cold sections of the ethylene process unit.
Honeywell's technology will enable Slovnaft to control severity and maximize furnace rates by as much as five percent while maintaining physical constraints around the plant. In addition, ProfitSuite will improve operational efficiency by reducing energy consumption per tonne of olefin produced.
After a full evaluation Slovnaft decided on Honeywell solutions based upon control and optimization functionality, experience, and Honeywell's track record with Slovnaft. Honeywell has previously implemented APC projects on the plant's fluid catalytic cracking unit, VY hydrotreater unit, and residue hydrocracker units. It is further evidence of the commitment by Slovnaft to maintain its leadership position, as they continue on a path towards operational excellence, through standardization of technology and best practices.
