Sinopec Wins Engineering Contract For Saudi Arabia Green Hydrogen Project

According to a front-end engineering design (FEED) +EPC convertible contract recently awarded by Saudi Arabia’s ACWA Power, Sinopec Guangzhou Engineering Co., Ltd., the wholly-owned subsidiary of the SINOPEC Engineering (Group) Co., Ltd. (SEG), and Spanish company Técnicas Reunidas, will form a joint venture to provide engineering service for a large-scale green hydrogen and green ammonia project in Yanbu. 

The project will be put into commercial operation in 2030, producing annually 400,000 tonnes of green hydrogen and 2.8 million tonnes of green ammonia with wind and solar power. This will effectively promote the scale-up and application of green hydrogen and green ammonia technologies, contributing to the global energy transition.
