SIMAX Signs Axus Technology As Partner

West Chester, OH - SIMAX Global Services (SIMAX) recently announced the addition of Axus Technology as a partner company in their umbrella organization for the service of mature equipment in the Semiconductor and related markets. Axus Technology of Chandler, Arizona is a leading global provider of equipment, parts, and engineering services for Chemical Mechanical Planarization (CMP), wafer cleaning, and wafer-thinning equipment users.

"SIMAX is looking for the best companies in their respective markets. Axus Technology was the next logical choice for us to sign because of their engineering strength, which can be applied in extending product lifecycles," said Eduard Hoeberichts, CEO of SIMAX. "Axus has established itself as a premier value added supplier supporting mature CMP, wafer thinning, and wafer cleaning equipment and, as an active member of the SEC/N industry association, supports quality standards."

Barrie VanDevender, Axus Technology's Vice President of Sales and Marketing added, "We are excited to be a part of the SIMAX umbrella of companies. This agreement provides us with a unique opportunity to leverage partner company strengths with ours to provide global solutions for our customers. Through SIMAX, Axus Technology can continue to focus on the custom equipment modifications and upgrades for which we are known, while leveraging partner locations to provide a much larger, worldwide support network than we could offer alone."

SIMAX Global Services companies specialize in the service and support of mature equipment in semiconductor and related device manufacturing operations. SIMAX combines the core competencies and infrastructure of each participating member company with the goal of continuously improving customer satisfaction by optimizing service quality levels for mature equipment.

Equipment to manufacture IC's and related devices (MEMS, III-V materials, medical devices, solar cells, etc), when maintained well, will have useful technical life spans of several decades. With the original equipment manufacturers focusing on the newest equipment or OEM's being acquired or stopping operations altogether, the maintenance and support of the device manufacturers' mature equipment becomes a constant concern. SIMAX intends to remove that worry from the device manufacturer by providing a single source of services and parts.
