Servomex's Xendos 2510 HCI Analyzer Awarded Key MCERTS Approval

Source: Servomex Company Incorporated
Servomex Company Incorporated…<%=company%>, announces that its Xendos 2510 hydrogen chloride analyzer has gained the UK Environmental Agency's, important MCERTS Approval. This significant approval follows both laboratory tests at the National Physical Laboratory and field trials of the analyzer carried out by AEA Technology Environmental on behalf of SIRA (Scientific Instrument Research Association).

The Xendos 2510 is a single-beam gas filter correlation infrared gas analyzer, designed for the continuous monitoring of hydrogen chloride in a sample stream. It provides long-term accuracy, reliability and stability in the highly corrosive conditions typical of many of its applications in the chemicals and plastics industries and in environmental waste disposal. The gas filter correlation principle ensures that the long-term accuracy and repeatability of the instrument's readings are virtually unaffected by contamination of the sample cell.

The AEA Technology Environmental field trials of the Xendos 2510 took place over a three-month period at a large continuously fed municipal waste incinerator near Nottingham. A Xendos 2510 mounted as part of a standard Servomex HCI monitoring system was coupled via heat trace lines to an extractive sampling probe. The results were then compared with measurements made by AEA Technology Environmental using standard reference methods.

Servomex is a member of Fairey Group plc, a process technology company specializing in electronic controls, process instrumentation and filtration systems.
