Sentex to Sell Division

Sentex Sensing Technology, Inc. (Cleveland, OH) recently announced the sale of Sentex Systems to ALR Group, Inc., of Ridgefield, NJ. The sale, effective immediately, will transfer assets and liabilities to Dr. Amos Linenberg, President of ALR. Sentex Sensing Technology purchased controlling shares in Sentex Systems in March 1996.

Sentex Sensing Technology, manufacturer of a wide range of environmental and process control instrumentation for the monitoring and analysis of fluids, air, soil, and gas, will consolidate U.S. operations at its Hayward, CA facility. The company also has a manufacturing plant in Dusseldorf, Germany.

Chairman and President Robert S. Kendall said that efforts to integrate Sentex Systems failed due to significant differences in culture, technologies, and marketing requirements. ``This sale allows Sentex Sensing Technology to focus on its strengths in process control instrumentation,'' Kendall said.
