Nashville, TN - Cummins Filtration , the leader in filtration, exhaust, coolant and chemical technology for all engine-powered systems, announced that its Fleetguard FH234 Series Sea Pro 5 marine diesel fuel processor is now standard on all Cummins 2007 Tier II marine engines. The Sea Pro 5 system may also be used on other manufacturers' new and existing engines, company officials said.

Sea Pro 5 is a part of a family of Sea Pro fuel filtration products, which includes Sea Pro 6 and Sea Pro 7, which has been approved by all major marine and industry regulatory agencies, including Underwriters Laboratories (UL), United States Coast Guard (USCG), Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas (BV) and American Bureau of Shipping (ABS). The product is also certified to meet UL1105, ISO 10088, ANSI 1105 and ASTM F1201 standards, as well as American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC) standards.

"We are extremely pleased that the Sea Pro 5 will be first-fit on Cummins Tier II marine engines," said John Clevenger, Director of Global Product Management for Cummins Filtration. "Sea Pro is proven technology and the best system on the market for high efficiency, low maintenance and versatility. With the endorsement of all leading marine industry agencies, we believe Sea Pro 5 will be the first choice of all commercial marine diesel customers in the future. The all-in-one system includes fuel filtration, fuel/water separation and fuel processing. It is amazing filtration technology for all seagoing vessels."

The durable construction of Sea Pro 5 consists of an anodized body per MIL-A-8625F type II Class 2 requirements to eliminate corrosion, a metal spin-on filter, Water In Fuel Sensor (WIF) marine approved water drain, priming pump and M14 diagnostic ports. The Sea Pro 5 features proprietary StrataPore media filters, providing the best water removal efficiency available in the industry.

The FH234 Series Sea Pro 5 uses the same replacement filters as the FH230 Fuel Pro Series, FH233 Diesel Pro Series, and FH234 Industrial Pro Series.

With configurations available for flow rates up to 540 gph (2049 lph) and numerous micron ratings (2, 7, 10, 25), Sea Pro 5 can be applied across multiple engines and applications. Single, dual and triple units are available. In addition, single filter isolation configurations are available, referred to as the duplex style with two housings and triplex style for three housings. The unique remote mount design allows the potential to standardize to one filter regardless of engine manufacturer or model year (depending on OEM requirements).

Also available are the FH234 Series Sea Pro 6 and Sea Pro 7 Marine Diesel Fuel Processors offering similar easy maintenance, high performance and versatility as Sea Pro 5. The Sea Pro 7 offers the additional advantage of an Elemax cartridge filter plus clear cover Seeing Is Believing technology and a clear bottom bowl for predictive maintenance.
