Paul O. Abbé Inc Rota-Cone Vacuum Dryers are custom built double-cone tumble dryers consisting of two 45º cones welded to a cylindrical centerband. Solids are gently tumbled inside the vessel, spreading and recombining to expose fresh surface to the heated jacket while solvents are removed at reduced pressure. Liquid addition, coating and granulation can be easily accomplished in a Rota-Cone Vacuum Dryer by incorporating our optional liquid spray line and low speed intensifier or high-speed agitators.
The inherently clean internal design provides complete discharge and reduces crossbatch contamination. These units can be designed for 550º F jacket temperature along with high vacuum (1mmHg or better if required). Rota-Cone Vacuum Dryers provide superior drying, mixing, ease of cleaning as well as low capital, operating and maintenance costs.
