Refrigerant Buy Back

Hudson will purchase virtually all used CFC, HCFC and HFC refrigerants nationwide and provide empty recovery cylinders.

The buy-back program guidelines are as follows:

• Refrigerant will only be accepted in DOT approved containers
• Empty recovery cylinders can be provided if required
• All freight arrangements will be made by Hudson Technologies
• Cylinders or drums must be at least 50% full, but cannot exceed 80% of cylinder or drum capacity
• Oil and contaminants must not exceed 30%
• Refrigerant that is more than 0.5% mixed may be accepted at reduced value or no value, or for disposal. Mixed refrigerant purchases are individually negotiated
• If incoming refrigerant does not meet the contract requirements, you will be notified as soon as the test results have been confirmed
• Payment is based on the net amount of refrigerant, after removal of contaminants and oil
• Payment is made 30 days after receipt of refrigerant and final test results

Hudson Technologies can provide prompt payment for Buy-Back program participants by issuing a check for the net amount of refrigerant purchased, or issuing an immediate credit to the customer's Hudson account.
