Continental Disc Corporation presents the RCS Rupture Disc, an overpressure relief device designed to provide instantaneous overpressure protection that can be used in a variety of pressurized equipment, vessel or system applications. This high performance rupture disc design is ideally suited for installation below a safety relief valve, and is now available in sizes up to 32" (800 mm) in diameter.

The RCS Rupture Disc is a cross-scored, solid metal, reverse acting design, capable of operating under conditions up to 90% of the rupture disc's rated burst pressure (for pressures over 40 psig). It provides leakage and permeation control and will also withstand a full vacuum condition without the need for additional support components.

Continental's RCS Rupture Disc now carries the ASME "UD" Code Symbol Stamp, signifying that the rupture disc has a certified flow resistance value. C.D.C. has been accredited and is authorized by the ASME Code to utilize the UD Code Symbol Stamp for product built in accordance with the requirements of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section VIII, Division 1.

Various sizes and a wide-range of materials are available to meet corrosion-resistance needs. A wide range of burst pressure settings can be achieved with this rupture disc design. An optional Teflon liner or protective cover are available to provide added corrosion protection.

Other features of the RCS Rupture Disc include an innovative 3-Dimensional Flow Direction Tag, Continental's exclusive Burst Disc Indicator (B.D.I.) Alarm System and a unique insert-type rupture disc holder.
