Quaker Chemical announces senior leadership changes

Mr. Joseph W. Bauer, President and Chief Operating Officer of Quaker Chemical Corporation announced several senior management changes, following the announcement that Marc C. J. Meijer, formerly Senior Vice President and Global Industry Leader-Metalworking/Chemical Management Services, has stepped down.
Meijer will remain with the company on a part-time basis as an internal consultant. Meijer will report directly to Ronald J. Naples, Chairman and CEO of the Corporation, and will assist Quaker's senior management team with key business strategy and growth opportunities.
Other changes included Ian F. Clark, who has been appointed Vice President and Global Industry Leader-Metalworking/Chemical Management Services. For the past two years, Clark has been Vice President and Global Industry Leader-Steel/Fluid Power and has served as a member of Quaker's Management Executive Committee. Prior to joining Quaker in 1999, Mr. Clark worked for Ciba Specialty Chemical Company for over 24 years in a variety of management positions.
Mark Harris has been promoted to Vice President and Global Industry Leader-Steel/Fluid Power. Since 1996, Mr. Harris has held the position of Regional Industry Manager-Steel/Fluid Power, Europe. Harris will also serve as a member of Quaker's Management Executive Committee. Prior to joining Quaker, Mr. Harris worked for Exxon Chemical in Europe.
Wilbert Platzer has been promoted to Vice President-Worldwide Operations
and will serve as a member of Quaker's Management Executive Committee. He has been with Quaker since 1995, most recently as Managing Director and Director of Operations for Quaker's European business. Prior to joining Quaker, Platzer worked for DSM Hydrocarbons and British Petroleum in the Netherlands.
