Profile Tech To Test Additional Pipelines On Alaska's North Slope

Profile Technologies, Inc. has entered into a contract with a North Slope inspection services firm to test additional pipelines located under crossings on the North Slope of Alaska. Although terms of the contract were not disclosed, G. L. Scott, Profile Technologies' CEO, indicated that the contract would commence in early September and involve the testing of up to 40 crossings.

In July, Profile Technologies successfully completed its initial testing of approximately 100 pipelines under road and caribou crossings in Prudoe Bay, AL.

"This contract is gratifying in that it demonstrates that our technology is gaining acceptance on the North Slope," Scott said. "As more and more operators are exposed to our technology and its capability to detect corrosion in a fast, cost efficient manner, it is our expectation that our field operations will continue to expand."
