Printing Ink Driers
Our very complete line of COBALT LIN-ALL P.I. Driers has set the quality standard for the ink industry for many years. These driers are formulated with selected non-volatile diluents and provide the means of adding relatively large amounts of drying metals to printing inks without introducing substantial quantities of non-drying materials while maintaining control over the viscosity of the ink. COBALT LIN-ALL PI. Drier is offered in various metals concentrations5%, 5.6%, 6% and 12%.

6% COBALT HEX-CEM

Great for food packaging and other inks where low-odor is a must, 6% COBALT HEX-CEM Pl. Drier has been formulated with non-volatile diluents and the viscosity again tailored for inks.

12% COBALT CEM-ALL
Printing Ink Drier
12% COBALT CEM-ALL Printing Ink Drier is designed to replace all of the various cobalt concentrations you may be using, thereby allowing you to reduce your inventory to one cobalt drier. The viscosity of 12% COBALT CEM-ALL Paste is tailored for inks and contains only non-volatile diluents. In addition to its superior drying

Like our COBALT LIN-ALL P.I. Drier, 6% MANGANESE LIN-ALL P.I. Drier has been formulated specifically for inks. It does not contain volatile solvents, and physical properties are carefully controlled to meet the stringent requirements of the ink industry.

6% MANGANESE HEX-CEM Printing Ink Drier is a paste manganese ink drier, companion product to our 6% COBALT HEX-CEM P.I. Drier.

COBALT-MANGANESE
LIN-ALL
Printing Ink Drier
COBALT-MANGANESE LIN-ALL Printing Ink Drier is a "top and bottom" drier blend in ready-to-use form. The metal content consists of 2.8% Cobalt and 3.0% Manganese. Since the blend is produced from our LIN-ALL P.I. Driers, the diluents are nonvolatile and the viscosity is correct for inks.

46-A LIN-ALL
Printing Ink Drier
46-A LIN-ALL Printing Ink Drier is formulated for inks used in food packaging and other areas where lead driers cannot be tolerated. LIN-ALL 46-A is completely com-patible with our COBALT LIN-ALL P.I. Driers as well as our 12% COBALT CEM-ALL Paste and can be com-bined with these Products for fast drying. Here are a few of the many advantages of LIN-ALL 46-A.
  • Is excellent for multi-color work.
  • Will not stain or etch aluminum plates.
  • Provides superior rub resistance and scratch-proof properties.
  • Dries quickly without chalking
  • Will not cause injurious effect if used in excess.
  • Prevents inks from hardening on distribution rollers or drying on the press during long lapses of idle press time.
21% COBALT HYDROXY
TEN-CEM
If you're working with carbon blacks, toluidine reds, iron blues or other pigments that are prone to drier adsorption, chances are you're faced with a problem of loss-of-dry when your inks are stored for lengthy periods. 21% COBALT HYDROXY TEN-CEM provides a simple and effective solution for this problem. Known as a "feeder" drier, 21% COBALT HYDROXY TEN-CEM has a controlled rate of cobalt solubility and is designed to supply both initial and continuous activity through its "feeding" action. It is not intended as a replacement for normal drier utilized, but should be used as a companion product to our standard cobalt driers.

HYDRO-CURE P.I. Drier
OMG has recently developed HYDRO-CURE P.I. Drier for use with litho inks. This water-activated drier can be incorporated directly into the ink or can be used as a press-side additive. It releases oxygen directly into the ink upon addition of fountain solution to provide the fastest possible dry. It is especially useful with non-porous substrates.

DRI-Rx HF
DRI-Rx HF is a cost-effective drier accelerator that allows your ink formulas to achieve rapid rates of dry in some of the most difficult applications. DRI-Rx H F acts synergistically with the cobalt and manganese in the ink formula. It will help rapidly cure the ink, even when the ink is applied over plastic stocks or non-porous substrates. DRI-Rx HF is typically added at a rate of 0.2% by weight of your ink formula. This potent drier accelerator will also help minimize loss-of-dry in the ink. It can be added to the ink with the driers, or it can be post-added at low levels to enhance dry at the job site.

ANTI-SKINNING AGENTS
SKINO #2 (methyl ethyl ketoxime) is the most widely used anti-skinning agent for paints, and in many cases, ink makers have found that SKINO #2 works best for them. SKINO #2 is completely volatile and does not remain in the dried ink film.
