COADE, Inc. Version 3.50 is an updated version of its Windows (95/98/NT) integrated vessel design and stress analysis software. This version adds new ASME Section VIII, Division 1 Code Case 2260 and Division II Code Case 2261, which accommodate thinner head design. Other enhancements include a new Appendix Y analysis module for special flange applications, a WRC 297 analysis module, and a new earthquake option for analyzing loads in g's. Also, the software now provides the option to use Microsoft Word to review or print reports.
In addition to these features, this software incorporates current pressure vessel codes and standards such as ASME BPV, BS 5500, ASCE #7, Uniform Building Code (UBC), National Building Code (NBC), ANSI B16.5, TEMA and WRC Bulletin 107. It provides engineers, designers, estimators, fabricators and inspectors with complete design of tall towers, horizontal vessels, pots and pans and individual vessel components. The software was designed for quick start up, and its graphical modeling capabilities are easy to use and allow for quick data assembly and vessel analysis, according to the company.
