Preliminary program for ECTC 2001 is set

Euro Petroleum Consultants, Ltd. (Surrey, U.K.) has set the preliminary program for the European Catalyst Technology Conference 2001. It will be held in Antwerp, Belgium, on Feb. 26-27, and will focus on refining developments as well as petrochemical feedstocks and processing.

Highlights, according to EPC, include the following:

• Overview by Chem Systems of new requirements for product specifications for gasoline and diesel
• New catalyst developments by UOP for semi-regenerative and continuous catalytic reforming

• NaphthaMax. Breakthrough FCC catalyst technology and performance for short contact time applications by Engelhard
• Clean fuels strategies around FCCU, FCC pre-treatment, sulfur reduction additives, effect of post treatment on sulfur and olefins in gasoline and diesel by Akzo
• New Resid FCC catalysts. Improved accesibility and selectivity. Cascade catalyst systems by Petrobras.
• Integration of refineries/petrochem complexes. Future trends to improve profitability by Chem Systems
• Increased paraxylene through new Tol disproportionation and isomerization catalysts from ExxonMobil
• Poisons removal from C₃ feedstocks using the Triple P Process. Commercial experience of Fina Research and Engelhard
