PinnacleAIS To Offer First Implementations Of New PCMS RBI Software
HOUSTON-- (BUSINESS WIRE)PinnacleAIS, a leading provider of services and technology specializing in improved asset integrity for the petroleum and chemical processing industry, today announced a joint working relationship with Plant Condition Management Systems (PCMS®), under which PinnacleAIS will provide the first implementations of the production version, Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) module. Implementations of the new software are already underway at two major PinnacleAIS refinery accounts.
PCMS RBI module was initially released in May 2008, with a broad release slated to follow the two implementations. The RBI module integrates calculations that determine the risk associated with petrochemical equipment, and tools to help strategically plan inspection and operating practices to reduce those risks. Compliant with API 580 – The API Recommended Practice for Risk-Based Inspection, the software provides quantitative analyses of refinery equipment so reduction in risks can be determined and measured.
