The Series 9500 Oxygen and Carbon Dioxide Monitor is designed to provide continuous, unattended monitoring of both oxygen and carbon dioxide
Alpha Omega Instruments Corp.9500 Oxygen and Carbon Dioxide Monitor is designed to provide continuous, unattended monitoring of both oxygen and carbon dioxide. Range of measurement for both gases can be in either parts per million or percent.

The focal point of the monitor is its sensor technology. The oxygen sensor features a patented extended life electrochemical sensor with EES (enhanced electrolyte system). EES retards passivation of the sensor anode by allowing the products of oxidation to dissolve in the electrolyte. As a result, sensor life is extended. For certain applications, Alpha Omega Instruments recommends its current limited zirconia oxygen sensor. The zirconia sensor is particularly suitable when fast response time is critical. In addition, the expected life of the zirconia sensor is well in excess of three years under normal operation.

This company has also complemented its oxygen sensing capabilities with its NDIR (non-dispersive infrared) measuring system. The carbon dioxide sensor incorporates closed-loop control for long-term calibration stability. The control signal is generated by means of an optical referencing element that monitors source intensity. This methodology, coupled with a homogenizing gas sampling chamber, yields a system with improved tolerance to changes in the infrared source outputs.
