Oxea Announces Capacity Expansion At Bay City Plant In Texas, USA
Oberhausen – In a move to further optimize its valueadding chains and boost product availability, the global chemical company Oxea announced that it successfully increased its manufacturing capabilities for Syngas at its Bay City plant in Texas, USA, by 10 percent. Syngas is the main precursor for the production of oxo intermediates and oxo derivatives, which are used e.g. in high-quality coatings, lubricants and cosmetic and pharmaceutical products. Oxea's Bay City plant is a large world-scale facility for oxo chemicals, synthetic fatty acids, and acetate esters.
"At the current high demand for our oxo products, greater product availability will further lead to an improved level of service and supply security for our customers, both now and in the future," said Miguel Mantas, Executive Board member for marketing and sales. "In doing so, Oxea is strengthening its leading global market position," Mantas continued.
"Thanks to our extensive technological know-how and our experienced teams from engineering and production, this capacity expansion was implemented quickly and cost-effectively," added Dr. Martina Floel, spokesperson for the Executive Board and among others responsible for Global Operations.
With this capacity expansion in the USA, Oxea follows its strategy to further position itself in the dynamic growth market of oxo-intermediates and oxoderivatives.
