Other features include a fiberglass enclosure, and a three inch high, transflective display. This indicator is backlit by cool cathode flourescent lamps (CCFL) and uses a photo diode to activate the lamps when needed. The lamps are low power consumers, provide hours of continuous service and allow the unit to operate well in either direct sunlight or total darkness.
