Radar Tracker uses micorpower impulse radar to accurately detect the level of solids, liquid or slurines. When the signal touches the material, it is reflected back up the wave guide to a receiver circuit. Transmission and receive times are then processed, resulting in a 40-20mA/mulitple-relay output.
The transmitter is not affected by meterial vapors, coating/buildup on the probe, foaming, or changes in dielectrics/densities — problems found with traditional ultrasonic and capacitance transmitters.
