New Generation Biofuels Signs Sales Contract With Delta Chemical Corporation To Provide Up To 371,000 Gallons Of Its Renewable Biofuel

Lake Mary, FL /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Renewable fuels provider New Generation Biofuels Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: NGBF) today announced that it has signed a 12-month contract to supply Delta Chemical Corporation of Baltimore, Maryland, with up to 371,000 gallons per year of renewable biofuel.

New Generation Biofuels will supply Delta Chemical Corporation ("Delta Chemical") with biofuel for its No. 1, Cleaver-Brooks lead boiler. This contract will fulfill approximately 50% of Delta Chemical's annual energy consumption needs. Testing was completed last week with results showing excellent light-off and combustion properties. Deliveries will begin in the next two weeks from New Generation Biofuels' new Baltimore production facility.

"We are very pleased to announce that our first sales contract in the Baltimore area is with Delta Chemical Corporation, which has taken a positive step towards renewable and sustainable energy by electing to use our renewable biofuel to meet its energy needs," said Cary Claiborne, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer of New Generation Biofuels. "Our biofuel has demonstrated significant overall greenhouse gas emission reductions as well as local air pollution reductions including nitrogen oxide (NOx) and sulfur dioxide (SO2) compared to distillate fuel oil and this contract win will contribute to establishing our brand as an alternative to fossil fuel in the industrial heating market."

"Working with New Generation Biofuels is important to Delta Chemical as we strive to understand alternative energy sources in the face of an uncertain future regulatory environment," said John Besson, President of Delta Chemical Corporation.
