New Clamp-On Flowmeter From KROHNE In Practice
The new OPTISONIC 6300 ultrasonic flowmeter from KROHNE has already proved itself in a range of applications since its introduction. A Swiss chemical company uses the OPTISONIC 6300 to measure the volumetric flow of demineralized water for steam production. As inline measurement, with interruption of the process for the installation of measuring devices, was ruled out for the chemical company, KROHNE recommended the OPTISONIC 6300. This device is easy to install on the pipeline, in this case 2.6mm thick stainless steel pipe. The clamp-on measuring device measures the volumetric flow, which can be up to 70 m3/h.
The OPTISONIC 6300 from KROHNE is a clamp-on ultrasonic flowmeter, which is not just easy to install, but is also exceptionally reliable. The OPTISONIC 6300 sets new standards in the market on both counts.
With the signal quality display integrated in the electronics of the OPTISONIC 6300 measurement inaccuracy is reduced to a minimum. The OPTISONIC can be installed very quickly without training or special tools.
The quality of the signal is displayed in real time when adjusting the signal converter. This makes it easy for every user to optimize the efficiency of the clamp-on flowmeter, as it maximizes the measurement quality up to 100%.
Clamp-on flowmeters from KROHNE are used primarily for applications where the process should not be interrupted, pressure loss should be avoided and maintenance requirements must be kept to a minimum.
