A new eight-page, four-color brochure from ABB Instrumentation explains the company’s extensive calibration offerings and why they are important to ensure optimum equipment performance. The world’s largest automation services company, ABB introduced the first on-site flowmeter calibration verification solution for magmeters and has calibrated more than one million flowmeters.

The brochure notes that ABB calibrates flowmeters made by any manufacturer. It details the six benefits of ABB calibration services as: process optimization, quality, safety, cost reduction, regulatory compliance and custody transfer.

Among the on-site services offered by ABB are:

  • Electromagnetic flowmeter calibration verification
  • Analytical instrumentation
  • Pressure and temperature transmitters
  • Valve actuators and positioners
  • Virtually all flowmeter types

Over time, flowmeter accuracy will degrade, affecting equipment performance, the brochure further explains. The only way to fully re-calibrate a flowmeter to original factory specifications is to send it to a certified calibration lab for re-calibration. ABB’s calibration lab has been operation for more than 50 years. Its calibration test equipment is NIST traceable and operated in accordance with ANSI Z540.

In addition, ABB offers a full line of device management products and systems designed to work with intelligent devices from any manufacturer. Products offered include: Mobility Handhelds, Asset Vision Basic, and Asset Vision Professional.
