MonARC™ is a real-time in situ Process Analytical Technology (PAT) tool designed for mid-infrared (FTIR) based process monitoring in classified area environments. MonARC™ is used to understand the effects of scale when scaling up reactions to the manufacturing scale, to provide critical reaction information during campaigns and to ensure reaction compliance and safety through full time production monitoring. Monitoring reaction initiation, the formation and accumulation of reactive intermediates and reaction endpoint in situ and in real-time allows better control of processes, improved batch cycle time, increased yield and improved safety. MonARC™ is a Process Analytical Technology (PAT) tool that directly addresses several Green Chemistry initiatives.
- Sampling technology (probes and flow cells) directly interrogates in-process chemistry eliminating the need to take samples for offline analysis.
- FiberConduit allows infinite degree of flexibility to interface sampling technology to MonARC™.
- Touch screen on MonARC™ allows local access to commonly used features.
- iC IR software for remote access – MonARC™ can be remotely accessed from control room or office over company Intranet.
- Communication to plant control systems via a universal ModBus/TCP or by using 4-20mA Programmable Logic Control.
