The TrueCap Model MK-1 RF capacitance sensor provides a high sensitivity of 0.5pF, making it a suitable point level sensor for many different materials, including those with a low dielectric constant.
The TrueCap Model MK-1 RF capacitance sensor provides a high sensitivity of 0.5pF, making it a suitable point level sensor for many different materials, including those with a low dielectric constant.

The 0.5pF sensitivity is unusually high for an economical probe; other RF capacitance probes are more expensive, yet they lack the sensitivity offered by the MK-1. In addition, the MK-1 allows users to easily adjust the unit's sensitivity level in a wide range of applications unlike similar RF based products.

The MK-1 is a proven point level monitor with many powders, granular solids, and liquids in various silos, tanks, bins, and hoppers. It carries FM/CSA general purpose approvals, is furnished with standard built-in static protection, and offers a time delay adjustment with a single turn potentiometer.

The unit is an integral part of the TrueCap family, which also includes models MK-2e and MK-2. The company's RF capacitance probes are designed to provide a high level of sensitivity, stability, and durability for powder/bulk solids applications; the breadth of this line allows the company's applications specialists to select the right TrueCap model based on the application.

All models are available in multiple configurations, including rigid probes of varying lengths, a low profile probe, and a cable extension probe. Custom probe designs are available depending on the application.
