Mikron Acquires Temperature Measurement Firm

The acquisition boosts Mikron's visibility in process industry markets where it now has limited penetration, says Mikron acquisitions chief Dennis Stoneman. "Although similar in technology, E2T's products are complementary to Mikron's, resulting in no redundancy between the two product lines," he says.
Mikron believes its combined product lines will enable it to solidify its presence as a major supplier of noncontact point temperature measurement equipment. The company also manufactures thermal imagers and blackbody sources used to calibrate infrared instruments.
Mikron plans to relocated all E2T engineering, manufacturing, and accounting functions to its Oakland, NJ, facility. Sales, marketing, and service will remain in Ventura, CA.
Ernest Emery, E2T owner and CEO, will remain with Mikron in a consulting capacity. E2T GM K. William Lambert joins Mikron as sales and marketing VP for Mikron's instrumentation division, which includes Mikron and E2T products.
