LSB Is Nearly Ready To Go At Baytown, TX Nitric Acid Plant

LSB Industries, Inc. (Oklahoma City, OK) says that its new nitric acid plant is expected to be completed in January, with production scheduled to start in February 1999. The new plant, which is state-of-the-art in design and among the largest single plants in North America, will produce 1,265 tons of 65% nitric acid per day. The plant will sell the nitric acid to Bayer Corp. under the terms of a 10-yr-supply agreement.
