Level Measurement Of Liquid Carbon Dioxide
OPZ AG (Ukraine) produces and sells chemicals – ammonia and carbamide. Furthermore, liquid nitrogen, carbon dioxide, liquid oxygen and sodium sulfate are produced.
OPZ uses OPTIFLEX for liquid CO2 level measurement. The sensor of the new remote version of OPTIFLEX is connected with the converter through a cable.
OPTIFLEX 1300C can measure the level of liquid gases directly in the gas holders or special tanks, protected from heat. The relative permittivity of liquid CO2 is 1.1-1.2, which is a challenge for most devices on the market.
The remote version of OPTIFLEX measures level and interfaces and allows easy reading of the meter (for example on high silos, especially in winter). Putting the sensor in inaccessible areas (e.g. toxic athmosphere) is also possible with the remote version. The sensor may be installed in areas with extremely high or low temperatures, for example in liquid gas applications or in steel and iron industry.
OPZ uses a coax-sensor which allows the level measurement of almost all liquid gases. Using a coax-cable improves accuracy and reliability and decreases the block distance to a minimum.
