Koch Membrane Systems Showcases SelRO® Nanofiltration Elements At INFORMEX® 2006

Visit Booth #956

Wilmington, MA – Koch Membrane Systems, Inc. (KMS), a global leader in the development, manufacturing and service of membranes and membrane systems, will showcase its SelRO® nanofiltration elements at INFORMEX® 2006, booth #956, on February 14th to 17th, 2006 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL. These state-of-the-art membrane products are ideally suited for the pharmaceutical laboratory and for production processes.

The SelRO nanofiltration membranes provide outstanding chemical and thermal stability to satisfy the demanding requirements of pharmaceutical processes involving high and low pH, high temperature and organic solvents media. Most nanofiltration membranes previously available were limited to aqueous applications within a pH range of 2 to 11, insufficient for certain pharmaceutical applications with aggressive cleaning requirements. However, SelRO acid/base stable membranes can be operated within a pH range of 0-14.

The SelRO solvent stable nanofiltration membranes enable the concentration of pharmaceutical intermediates in aqueous solutions which may also contain methanol, ethanol, acetone, acetonitrile and other organic solvents. Solvent stable membrane modules are available in spiral configuration in a wide variety of pilot and large scale commercial sizes. The acid/base stable SelRO membrane modules are available in tubular and spiral configurations and can be used at temperatures up to 158°F (70°C).

KMS will also display its line of membrane cleaners, the KOCHKLEEN® products, which help prolong membrane life and reduce cleaning cycle time. All KMS chemical formulations are carefully reviewed by the company's process engineers and membrane and polymer scientists to ensure that they will provide superior performance benefits, including physical and chemical compatibility with the membranes.
