Intertek Acquires Geotechnical Services Pty. Ltd.

Perth, Australia - Intertek Group plc. (Intertek), one of the leading international provider of inspection, analytical, quality and safety services to a wide range of industries, announced that their Oil Chemical and Agri division (Caleb Brett) has acquired the Perth based company Geotechnical Services Pty. Ltd. (Geotech).

GEOTECH provides a wide range of chemical analysis, petrophysical testing and consultancy services to the upstream & downstream petroleum, petrochemical and mining industries, Government bodies and consultancies, both in Australia and internationally. The company provides petroleum geochemistry, environmental chemistry, ecotoxicology, industrial chemistry, oil condition monitoring, petrophysics and core analysis and speciality chemicals/fuel treatment services.

The acquisition of Geotech complements Intertek's comprehensive network of Australian and global laboratories, adding new upstream and consultancy capability for the rapidly expanding Australian and Asia Pacific petroleum industries. The facility is now ideally placed to expand further into international markets.
