H&S Chemical Receives cGMP Registration For Kentucky Facility
H&S Chemical Co., Inc., a subsidiary of Syrgis Performance Products, has received notification from the FDA that its manufacturing plant in Covington, Ky., is now registered as a cGMP facility.
The term cGMP stands for "Current Good Manufacturing Practice" which are regulations specified by the FDA that describe the methods, equipment and control procedures required for the industries H&S Chemical serves.
"This registration is a confirmation of our continued desire to support our customers," said H&S Chemical President and Syrgis Performance Products CEO Andy Harris. The level of quality systems required to achieve cGMP is a significant undertaking and is testament to H&S Chemical's commitment to quality."
With this registration, H&S Chemical will be able to continue to grow selected products for use in:
- Manufacture of active pharmaceuticals;
- Dairy cow hygiene;
- Aquaculture; and
- Soil fumigation.

H&S Chemical is one of a select group of chemical manufacturers that now hold this certification.
