Graphite Block Heat Exchangers
Impervite is unaffected by most corrosives, easily handling hydrofluoric, phosphoric, hydrochloric and sulfuric acids. It also is unaffected by the action of trace elements or by stress corrosion.
Impervite is totally immune to thermal shock within its normal operation range of -20 to 350° F. Under no conditions within its operating range will it glaze or crack due to rapid temperature rise or drop.
All the advantages inherent in this proprietary material are taken to their highest capabilities in the Multi-Blox Heat Exchangers.
The Multi-Blox unit is designed and built for 24-hours-a-day, 365- days-a-year service. Because of the long monolithic blocks in Multi-Blox Heat Exchangers, there are fewer sealing gaskets. This helps eliminate many problems found with other graphite blocks units, such as point loading, leakage and block cracking.
Both the process and service sides of our Multi-Blox Heat Exchangers are supplied with a full ASME National Board Stamp Registration. The company offers a variety of heavy-duty and standard-duty Impervite Graphite Block Heat Exchangers to meet the most demanding chemical processing needs.
Impervite Impervious graphite is a prime choice for most acid services. It is one of the most universally corrosion-resistant materials available on the market. It's unaffected by most acids, organic solvents and other difficult materials. It is non-contaminating, will not rub off or leach out, and will not discolor material in processes.
Heavy-Duty MB Series
Extra high resistance to corrosion, erosion and thermal shock, outstanding reliability and durability:
- Unaffected by most corrosives
- Designed for round-the-clock, long-term performance under demanding conditions
- Monolithic blocks, with fewer sealing gaskets, resist point loading, leakage and block cracking
- Up to 3 times the amount of graphite between holes
- Some of the largest diameter process and service holes in the industry, for reduced fouling
- Less frequent and simplified maintenance, increasing productivity
- Maximum operating pressure up to 150 psig, maximum temperature of 800° F
- Full ASME Section VIII, Division I code stamp
