Flash Dryer

Heyl & Patterson, Inc.neburg-Mark Flash Dryer is for drying high moisture, temperature sensitive material with high thermal efficiency. Moisture is flashed off with high velocity hot air while the product remains at low temperature with a short residence time. Product temperatures range from 140°-250° F and the dryer is for use with foodstuffs, gypsum, wood fibers, detergents, and organic chemicals. Heyl & Patterson, Inc.neburg Division offers a complete line of Flash Dryers, including the Rotacurrent and Venturijet designs. Instantaneous or Flash Dryers have been employed in process plants for many years. The dryers differ from conventional flash dryers because they employ the principle of selective processing, ensuring that every particle's residence time is proportional to its size and weight. The result of selective processing is a homogeneous final moisture content and a high quality commercial product without physical or chemical degradation. We can also install special back-mixing equipment for feeding pasty or sticky products effectively.

Several sizes of standard designs are available to handle feed rates ranging from 100 lb-50 tons per hour. Complete testing in our Pilot Plant Testing Lab ensures the suitability of your actual product with our flash dryer designs. The dryers are currently processing a variety of materials, including chemicals, minerals, sludge, foodstuffs, and plastics. The dryers come in either the Rotacurrent or VenturiJet designs.
