Their modified roll-forming technology creates low-finned tubing called Fine-Fin that has 2.5 times more external surface area than plain tubing. It makes it practical to use high quality, corrosion-resistant materials like titanium, stainless steels and high nickel alloys in shell and tube heat exchangers without a proportionate increase in cost. In many cases fewer, smaller heat exchangers may be used when it is specified. In addition, the fins strengthen the tube, and allow for the use of lighter gauge tubing in high pressure services. It is available in a wider range of alloys than conventional low-fin tubing which is restricted to soft metals.

Proper material selection with the tubing eliminates costly downtime and maintenance. Enhanced heat exchange efficiency means less tubing is required to accomplish the same heat transfer as a bare tube. It can increase the performance of an existing heat exchanger without the difficult and expensive task of building new shells, heads, nozzles, piping and foundations.
