is the Successor to Durco Meter Pumps of the Duriron Company, Inc.
(April 1999) – Aqua Care Systems, Inc. announced formation of the Durameter Pump Company, Inc., Angola, NY, a subsidiary of Aqua Care Systems, Inc., Coral Springs, Florida.
Durameter manufactures the Evolution (EV) Series metering pumps in a wide range of sizes, alloys and non-metallic materials to handle fluids in a variety of applications such as chemical processing; oil exploration/transmission/recovery and refining; pharmaceutical manufacturing; pulp and paper processing; food and beverage production; mining and others. Its pumps are designed for durability, adaptability and ease of maintenance, the company states.
Durameter EV Series metering pumps were previously marketed as Durco Meter pumps from the Duriron Company, Inc. In 1997, Aqua Care Systems purchased the Filtration Systems Division of Duriron, which included its metering pump group. The company originally was founded in 1928 as a division of Hills-McCanna.
Establishing the Durameter Pump Company as a separate corporation will enable the company to provide dedicated manufacturing, sales, service and technical support to distributors and customers worldwide, according to Durameter.
