Houston - Dorf Ketal Chemicals, LLC, a leading global additives and process chemicals company, has named William Loven president of Dorf Ketal Chemicals North America. In the new position, Loven will continue to manage the lubes and additives product lines and will oversee STAR refinery products, the Phlox fuel additives and the DNA process chemicals businesses.

"Bill brings experience, a record of success and relationships to Dorf Ketal," said Subodh Menon, president and CEO, Dorf Ketal. "Although new to our organization, he is a veteran in the chemicals industry and has proven his capabilities. We look forward to continued growth in the U.S. market and an exciting future."

Loven has 30 years of industrial manufacturing and chemical industry experience and has held senior-level positions for more than a decade. A graduate of the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program, Loven holds a patent for structural adhesives for marine applications. He has a proven track record for rapid business growth and enhancing the profitability of multi-national firms. He is an active member of the Association for Corporate Growth, American Chemistry Council, Société de Chimie Industrielle and the Adhesives & Sealants Council. In 2006, Loven founded the American Chemistry Council's Essential2Life 5K Race in New Jersey.

"Dorf Ketal is a top-shelf provider of specialty and process chemicals. Our clients count on us for high quality products that are supplied dependably and on time," notes Loven. "Dorf Ketal is well-positioned to continue its strategic expansion; I am excited to lead the U.S. team."

Dorf Ketal develops, tests and manufactures specialty chemicals for the petrochemical, adhesive, paint and coatings industries. The company acquired ExxonMobil Chemical's component additive business last year. With few exceptions, most products are produced in the company's state-of-the-art plant in Mumbai, India and sold through six major sales offices across the globe. The company's near-term plans include increasing involvement in key industry associations, generating awareness of new product lines, evaluating potential acquisitions and increasing sales.
