Valvcon Corporation offers a digital electric actuator for torque applications up to 3000 in-lb. The processor-based Intelligent Valve Operator (IVO) Series can connect to fieldbus two-wire networks, analog control systems, or be programmed to maintain a process setpoint. Designed to reduce initial installation wiring costs by up to 80 percent, the series also provides downstream savings through diagnostics and predictive valve and actuator maintenance.

Combined with the reliability of Valvcon's family of electric actuators, the IVO series adds a microprocessor for the addition of simple programmable features and functions. This on-board computer permits the IVO to communicated bi-directionally with plant computer control systems. The actuator can support a wide variety of popular communication protocols including Hart and Modbus. As a closed loop controller, the IVO moves the PID processing to the actuator. Input signals from flow, pressure and temperature transmitters can all be read directly by the IVO, and a self-tuning feature is available.
