Southern Metal Processing presently recovers screen packs used in polymer applications including film, filament and staple, compounding and reclaim. This service includes diffusion bonded filter laminated, stainless rim bound, loose screens, tack or dot welded screens and simple loose screen layups. We work with screen packs in excess of fifteen inches in diameter and with up to sixty-two layers of principally 325 mesh. These units are recycled 135 times. Our process virtually eliminates metallurgical damage that is often caused by "in house" cleaning where any type of high heat method is used.
