Compact Thermal Flow Sensor

KOBOLD's microprocessor-based KAL-K thermal flow switch product line has been expanded to include a thermal flow sensor featuring a temperature independent 4-20 ma output with an optional PNP switch providing an alarm. The new KAL-A compact thermal flow sensor is said to offer a cost-effective solution for applications requiring an analog output.

The device is rated for 1450 PSIG and 176 F, has no moving parts, and is easy to install. The standard unit is equipped with a ½ in. NPT fitting and nylon housing suitable for most industrial applications. For hazardous areas, it is now available in an aluminum explosion-proof housing. It can be used in pipes ranging from ½ in. to 20 in. in diameter with minimal pressure drop. Supply voltage is 24Vd-c and current draw is 300 ma maximum.
